Middle School Youth Ministry is open to ALL young people in grades 6-8, regardless of school or parish affiliation. Middle School Faith Formation for grades 6-8 is an important part of the components of total youth ministry. If you have a middle schooler who has been away from faith formation for a while (or is just starting out), they are welcome to attend!
If you have a middle schooler who is seeking to prepare for the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation (Confession), and/or Eucharist (Communion), Middle School Youth Ministry is a foundation for those processes. Contact our Sacramental Coordinator, Airryn Sorto, for more information.
Youth in our parishes are invited to prepare for Confirmation during high school or beyond.
If you have a middle schooler with special needs, they are welcome to participate! Please reach out to the Director of Youth Ministry to discuss the best fit for your child in youth ministry.
IIntellectual Formation (Catechesis):
MSYM Faith Formation includes time for prayer and socializing in addition to catechesis on topics like morality, sacraments & questions about God.
Your Middle School Faith Formation Registration enrolls you in classes for both the fall and spring series.
Note: Catholic school students are warmly welcome (but not required) to participate in Middle School Faith Formation.
Pastoral Formation (Service):
MSYM Service Sundays are held monthly on Sunday mornings. Look for monthly signup to participate! Families are also encouraged to discover ways to serve together, such as by participating in Elementary Faith Journey passport service projects.
Human (social) &Spiritual Formation:
Middle schoolers can choose to participate in middle-school-specific social and spiritual events, attend Passport events with their families, or a mix of both!
Watch for information about these events throughout the year.
